I can see this happening quite easily, though I don’t see Chrysalis having the resources, or the charisma, to maintain a successful smear campaign.  The way I see it, she holds the vast majority of her hive (or what’s left of it) in thrall, they have little to no will of their own.  When one manages to break away from that thrall from their own energies and efforts then it would be no small effort to ensnare their mind once more.

Second, it has been covered how Fleur became Papillon, namely through chaos magic spurring her change.  Within Papi’s canon, chaos magic is the natural order of things, but is suppressed by the order magic used by the sapient races.  On occasion when it has been pent up in an area for too long then it can burst outwards causing changes in those nearby.
This was how Fleur, and vaeyla’s Fabulicious became Queens, and could account for other species swap characters and blogs depending on their reasoning.

Third, Papi is always accepting new applicants.  There is currently a backlog of applicants that need to be converted, but I’m more than happy to see people make their characters changelings and put them in fanart or the like.

When I was running the blog Fleur de Lis Replies, which may come back one day, I got a magic anon that turned Fleur into a changeling for 10 posts.  After a few posts of that, I came to adore changeling Fleur and my mind was racing with headcanons and ideas for changelings as a whole, and so I ended the M!A prematurely and made a full blog for changeling Fleur, giving her the new name Papillon.

Socks are socks, ceilings are ceilings.  Your reasons for focusing on them are your own.

I think I’d still be uncomfortable, mostly because of your strange focus on my socks.

Probably an OC.  Before Fleur I had an OC pony blog that lasted a few months and had all of 3 followers before I started Fleur.  If I would have to chose a canon pony, than probably Octavia because I prefer the ‘classy’ background ponies.

Seeing as you’d be standing on my feet, and my socks generally don’t have the greatest amount of stretch, probably.

It depends on what you would consider to be in the language.  If we’re talking OED, then I don’t have a least or most favorite word, just words that I use more and less often.  If we’re talking what has become common speech, then ‘lol’.

I have both games, and a 100% completed pokedex (along with something like 20 shinies) on X.

My feet consume socks as it is (my job tends to keep me on my feet and active, so they get worn down very fast) but yes I do slide on tile when I get the chance.

I often wear socks while playing videogames, yes.  As for what games I play, it depends on my mood and can be anything from Pokemon and Lego games to Assassin’s Creed and Killzone.

See, it is possible to adapt one’s old life to one’s new changeling form.  The only issue is taking advantage of one’s new talents while avoiding the persecution and hatred that comes with the new form.

This might be better asked at unhinged-mod, but I’m pretty sure that Buzz Buzz has a secret stash of everything here and there.  It wouldn’t surprise me to find him trying to look or act scholarly though.

47.  How would you like to be remembered?

I’d like to be remembered as a person who was there for his friends when they needed him, and one who made an impactful contribution to art, in one form or another.

88.  What’s the longest you’ve ever gone without sleep?

Around 45-48 hours.  I missed a day of sleep when I flew to Sweden a few years back, and the time shift and flight screwed up my sleep schedule.

This would only have an effect on DBL and Papi.  I like the idea of multiple voices being within the hive mind from a single drone, but I’d think that only the one currently in control would be clear with the other being a dull murmur.

Before Papi converts a pony, she tells them explicitly that as a changeling they can’t simply return to their old life as they were.  That being said, many drones do attempt to maintain an image of their old life to keep from raising suspicion.

They can’t leave the hive altogether, or rather it’s difficult and dangerous to do so, but they can attempt to live as they once did, reporting in now and then.  ask-fickleaura does this quite often.

The conversion cures physical ailments in most cases, but it also touches upon the mind and changes that to a slight extent.  The addition of the connection to the hive mind doesn’t affect many, but as Buzz Buzz can attest a pony with heavy mental issues may experience a complete breakdown when that addition is made.

This is very true.  The conversion acts as a sort of biological reset, and as such cures many sicknesses and diseases, and can even restore lost limbs.  However, these limbs are often much more heavily covered with holes.

33.  Are you pursuing your dreams?

Well, I’ve published one novel, written another, have more than half a dozen planned, and I’m going to be getting my Bachelor’s degree in English Literature in less than a month.

For the moment I’d say yes.

65.  What is your dream job?

Self-employed author who can support himself and his family from the novels and other writings without having to worry about taking on an extra job or several just to pay the bills.  Ideally in England.

78.  What makes you uncomfortable?

Giving presentations and speeches to peers.  Though I don’t really like to talk about my own work, it’s a lot easier for me to share about that, and to sing in public, than it is to compile other people’s work and present on it.
