Did you ever have really good friends but lost touch?
I had a small group of fairly close friends in high school, but once we graduated they stopped speaking to me until several weeks ago when they turned up on my doorstep to say hi. I don’t really have many friends IRL and never have.
I came to like changelings because of how they were introduced and portrayed, and how little was actually made known about them. They presented a challenge and something to look into that I simply couldn’t resist. Bovines are a different matter that at least in part stems from my childhood when my mom collected cows in all forms so I was surrounded for years.
to give ash credit, he's actually pretty good as a trainer working on the fly, he just sucks at a lot of other aspects. he's gotten the respect of every single one of his pokemon, has cleared the gyms of each region like clockwork, has shown an ability to learn from his mistakes, and while he's pretty book dumb he's also come up with some ingenious strategies and moves. so while he's inept, he's not the MOST inept.
He’s had to rematch a number of gyms in each region despite always having a Pikachu that has been level 100 for more than a decade and even when starting out was considered special. He has the ability to learn from his mistakes, yet falls for the same tricks on a daily basis and can’t recognize a face to save his life. Most of the strategies he’s come up with have either been happenstance or from watching others implement them first, and he’s terrible at actually fulfilling the few goals he sets for himself.

I’m surprised at how many asks I’ve gotten telling Vaspira to take Papi on a date first before talking about the two making a princess. A fair point, but what do you think Vaspira’s been doing so far? Staring blankly at Papi while she figures stuff out on her own?
I can explain why free healthcare isn't viable in America right now. The money isn't there. We just had a government shutdown not even two years ago because we didn't have the money for current expenses, and our solution was that we HAD to borrow more. If we added free health care, we would not be able to afford it.
Honestly that argument isn’t very strong? The United States spends
WAY MORE on health care than any other country in the world, topping the
Nords whom invest heavily in it AND have free health care. Not only
that, but even though you spend more, your citizens aren’t better cared
for. So it’s obviously not a problem of funding.
Honestly, I ain’t American so all I can say is “Europe
this, free that”, but if you ask me: With just a little glimpse of how
it works in the US I’d say that the only reason why free healthcare
isn’t viable is simply because of the insurance system you guys have
embedded both in your culture and society. It wouldn’t stand as a
surprise if the insurance industry was putting barriers everywhere in
order to make free healthcare not viable in America.
I think they have 2 new games sceduled for later this year. Late summer might be a bad time to release new stuff with xmas only a few weeks away
They have Yoshi’s Wooly World which is released in total on October 16th, though it’s apparently been available since June in several markets and received mediocre reviews, and Xenoblade X, which was released in FEBRUARY in Japan. That’s it. No third party support, and one of their only third party exclusives having just jumped ship to the other consoles through porting. Besides, the initial issue was that all that they’re doing for Mario’s 30th anniversary is putting out Mario Maker and nothing else to show love for the plumber, and that’s still the case.
it’s not surprising, game dev takes ages and they usually only have a year or 2 to make a game from start to finish. making something simple like this is quicker
Which might be a decent excuse, if Mario Maker wasn’t playable on the floor of E3 LAST YEAR, and Nintendo’s known about this being Mario’s 30th anniversary for some time.
I think what upsets me the most about Mario Maker isn’t that it’s been done before in many ways on many platforms, but that it’s all that Nintendo’s doing for Mario’s 30th anniversary and we could have had a compilation of classics like Sunshine and Galaxy remastered, or a new Mario game altogether. Just imagine a 3D Mario platformer with the graphical engine of Mario Kart 8!
