I've been playing Tales of the Abyss recently, and I was think Natalia would be a good name for a female Decidueye. Princess Natalia is a character from that game and she's an archer, and she's a noble like what Rowlet and Dartrix are seemingly portraying.
I don’t doubt it. Never really got in to any of the Tales games so I wouldn’t know the character directly. Name your Pokemon whatever you’d like, whether the name is fitting or not.
No offense, but owls aren't birds and Decidueye's based on an extinct species of Owl. That's why Dartrix lost its Ghost typing during evolution.
Firstly, Dartrix loses its Flying type during evolution and gains Ghost type. Secondly, seeing as owls fall under class Aves, they’re definitely birds (feathers, beaks, warm bloodedness, egg laying and flight aside). Thirdly, it’s a joke.
As much as Robin Hoot, or Owliver Preen work as names for Decidueye, I feel like Hamlet is a good nickname for the whole line. Think about it, the father’s a ghost, the first you see it as Rowlet it’s a bit of a lovable dork, then it becomes emo and brooding as Dartrix, before finally becoming Decidueye, deadly, serious and focused on murder.
““6th gen games are too easy! All the opponents are too low level!”
TURN OFF YOUR EXP SHARE!
Doing a Nuzlocke without the EXP share and my entire party is right at the low 30s going in to the 3rd gym, just a couple levels above the average trainer. If you like to grind, turn off your Exp Share and you’ll have ample reason. If you don’t like to grind, then turn it on and stop complaining.
You’d think there’d be a way to induce motivation or something.
Inducing motivation is simple, it’s called sugar/caffeine and time. It’s inducing the motivation for a single spur of the moment project in a list of other things that I enjoy working on more that’s the issue.
That is a shame rotten apple is gone that was a great idea. I will miss it
I might do stuff with the ideas down the road, like do designs for the mane 6/7/8 as changeling queens, either good or bad, I just lost interest in the ask blog fast as tends to happen.
Alolan Persian finally makes sense to me. Much like Alolan Meowth it was specifically bred by the Alolan royals to have the physical traits that it does, including the face. It’s face isn’t just round, it’s flat. You know what else has a round, flat face that was specifically bred to have a round, flat face? Persian cats in the real world.
As much as I love new Pokemon being introduced in a generation, having a variety of Pokemon available, new and old, is always what makes or breaks a Pokemon game, and that is more apparent with each generation.
I have 0 problem with a generation having less than 100 new Pokemon if it gives a shitload of variety to what you can find from previous generations. With Alola we’ll have upwards of 800 Pokemon to work with after transfer, and personally I think that’s more than enough to keep track of right now.
I understand the desire for more new Pokemon, I do, but there’s a reason that 2nd gen is so fondly remembered, and 5th gen was so poorly received, at least by me.
you'd be a Dark gym with Zoroark as your ace. As a trainer i'd say you'd have a ditto, a mareep, a skuntank, a Zoroark, Ursaring, and either a Beautifly or a Vivllion
Headcanon: Because of Papi's chaotically induced origin, she subconsciously rewinds time whenever she feels things have gone too far. While she cannot remember previous iterations, impulses from them guide her actions to an increasingly "better" scenario. This is why there are so many reboots--they are a manifestation of Papi's chaos magic.
That’s rather clever, though there have only been 2 actual reboots, and one of those only set things back a short ways. I like it.
You should do to the story what you want to do, not what we want you to do.
That’s generally the plan, but I still like to get feedback from the followers now and then. I’ll be taking the concepts, but altering the designs by hive so they won’t be as offputting as the canon designs from Chrysalis’s hive.
I think if you're gonna change Papi or anyone else's forms, that it should be in line with what the changelings of the finale had to do. If you change them at all.
That’s just it, what the changelings in the finale had to do to change form is what Papi and my changelings have been doing for years. It almost feels weird not changing them somehow given the revelations of the finale. Granted, I’d tweak the fuck out of the designs.
I think people might be looking at the new changeling designs too literally. Think for a moment of the possibilities! Before all changelings were kind of just generic buggy ponies, but now we have a hive with blatant beetle characteristics between Thorax’s horns and the shell covering the wings. All that the finale has done is shown that changelings can be colorful, compassionate and more heavily influenced by insect characteristics.
Who’s to say that all changelings have to be beetle-y? Why can’t there be a hive with spider leanings that further develops them? Or bee? Or dragonfly? There are tons of possibilities now that don’t detract from the old ones. Even then, the new designs are different, but they grow on you over time. At least they did with me.
Now that the finale has officially aired, I figure it fitting that this should be discussed. The concept of Papi as a true changeling queen is just that, a concept, and is liable to be changed.
what if you turned your furry characters into cows?
Then they’d be cows. Either morphic or nonmorphic. Since I’ve kind of fallen off of cowponies, maybe I should just make a go to cow character? Or a bovine Bev form?

I love seeing people complain that certain Pokemon in Sun and Moon have evolutions that don’t make sense because their inspirations aren’t the same species as the preevolutions.
Starting a Nuzlocke in X, according to the last 2 numbers of the ID I’ll be getting Chespin and Charmander.
Rules
Only the first encountered Pokemon on each route can be caught, if it faints then nothing else can be caught in the same method on that route.
A second capture is only allowed if the route has a secondary form of encounter, i.e. fishing, surfing, rock smash, etc. Only one secondary capture is allowed per route/town
If the first encountered Pokemon is a repeat then it is exempt from the above rule and can be killed without consequence
Unobtained evolved Pokemon of a captured family are not exempt
Fainted Pokemon are treated as dead and released
EXP Share is disallowed
Gift Pokemon/resurrected fossils do not apply to the single encounter clause.
Failure only if the entire party is killed/whited out
Starter Pokemon may die with no consequence, though it will sadden me.
Wish me luck. Might draw Abi with some of her to be team down the line.
