I feel like designing some more quick anthro bunnies for Spring/Easter. If you’d like one send me a color palette, gender, and body type and I’ll make it as a quick shaded piece request. Only going to do a few of these within the next week, so first come first served.
“New Pokemon games don’t introduce enough new Pokemon! They don’t show off the new stuff because there’s not enough there! It’s bullshit!”
Of the 16 gyms accessible in the 2nd generation, only 9 gym leaders had Pokemon introduced in the 2nd generation. Johto itself only featured new Pokemon among half of its gym leaders, despite there being Pokemon of each type introduced in that generation.
They cut a heterosexual romance because it didn’t fit the story, and because including it did a disservice to the female character’s individual narrative arc.
sorry but your faves literally would never
never
They cut out the absolute one thing that fans of the original show were excited to see.
This is how you know your reboot sucks.
sorry, but... literally the only thing you were excited about, from an IP with magic armour and the forces of evil and ARMOURED DINOSAUR VEHICLES, was a boring heterosexual kiss that wouldn’t have fit the emotional development of either character?
no offense but that’s the most heteronormative thing i’ve heard all week
I’m sorry, but if you were jonesing for a kiss between Jason and Kimberly, who were never romantically involved in the original series (seriously, Kimberly was with Tommy so often that their original actors appear together in a cameo in the reboot) and it being cut out is what kills the reboot for you, you weren’t much of a fan of the original.
The reboot manages to give each Ranger more character in 2 hours than the original series did in 3 seasons, and manages to be super respectful of the original while standing on its own and pointing out the issues with the original series.
Seriously, if you’re a fan of Power Rangers, go see the reboot. It’s so good, and balances cheese with seriousness really well, even with how it handles product placement.
please tell me this is fake… because if it isn’t….
It’s not fake, but it is outdated. Be Cool Scooby-Doo, Looney Tunes, Pokemon, Tom & Jerry, Wabbit and everything except for TTG! and Gumball (and maybe Uncle Grandpa) has been taken out of the schedule.
I wouldn’t expect any blog updates at the moment, not feeling like drawing of late. On the bright side I have no work Monday-Friday next week, so I’ll have plenty of opportunity to be productive then and may stream if there’s enough to work on. On a related note, commissions are open like usual.
In one of those moods where nothing feels right and I have no motivation to move, let alone work on something. Always a fun time being in such a state of depression where I just want to give up on everything and curl up in the corner.
Been working on a Heart Gold Nuzlocke, and was planning on going through each generation after I’d finished first gen, but Heart Gold is dragging and I want to at least start another gen (or reset the Heart Gold/Soul Silver) Vote for the generation and winner will be started.
Starting Platinum now, then it’ll be one of the 5th gen games followed by either Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire.

I completed a Nuzlocke of Leaf Green a few weeks ago, and have been trying to do the same with Heart Gold going through the generations, but for some reason it’s been harder to stay invested with the second generation. Huh.
“Mass Effect Andromeda is garbage!” It hasn’t even come out yet. “The facial animations are terrible and there are other animation errors though!” First of all, who has ever, EVER played a Bioware game for animations or graphics? Bioware gives strong characters, good stories, great world-building, and competent gameplay and graphics.
Second of all, it is a rare, rare thing for games nowadays to be perfect for all players, even when looking solely through review copies. Games get patched. Chill out and enjoy the game if you like the series, or avoid it if you don’t. Personally I’m sure I’ll enjoy it just fine, even if there are bugs and graphical issues here and there.
Hmm… I’m not sure how to feel about it, regarding the criticism that says it’s just copying “The Book of Life”. See, it does look like an original story, but I do find the supposed difference in the start dates for their production to be suspicious as well.
I dunno. I want to see more of Mexico’s culture represented on the silver screen in creative ways, but on the other hand I want it to be done in a good way.
Hmmm… maybe someone more filled in than I am can clue me in to what’s bad about Coco right now.
Honestly, I think the hate that it’s getting from the teaser trailer alone is kind of par for the course for Disney films on Tumblr at this point, and it’s because it’s more because it’s Disney/Pixar than anything else. We’ve hardly seen anything on the film, so the posts comparing the variety of character designs in Incredibles to Coco and other Pixar films is rather moot, seeing as the characters that are cherry picked for the point are typically secondary at best and not the focus. The comparisons to Book of Life are fair, but again, we have hardly seen anything on the film yet so it’s really hard to judge.
Outside of the Cars series Pixar has yet to put out a truly bad film, and the worst they’ve done in the last couple decades has been The Good Dinosaur, which did poorly but was still a well made Western, so I have faith that they’ll do justice to Coco, and at worst put out a competently made movie that doesn’t quite stand on par with Book of Life but tells a different story.
I legitimately think the hate it’s getting is because Book of Life was a lesser known film in comparison to most things put out by Disney, and it didn’t do as well or got the recognition it deserved because of it. I’m pretty sure that if Coco wasn’t Disney/Pixar and was the exact same product being put out by a different studio Tumblr would be hyped for it.
No, not really the job for the donk. Fleshcrafters have to be pretty smart and dexterous, and need a means of enacting controlled change. Annamae has 0 of 3 requirements.
Dragon’s Dogma. A friend loves the game but I cannot come up with any redeeming features about it save for creature design and a novel idea of climbing monsters in battle.
The mobility is borderline nonexistent, the world is massive but barren with no means of fast travel without single use items, and only 2 movement speeds, slow walk and decent sprint (which depletes stamina in half the time it takes to recharge). Character progression is handled in such a ridiculous manner and loot drops are almost entirely missing outside of chests, which I have yet to see drop anything other than some gold or low end curatives. Ally AI is absolutely terrible and will run headfirst into a mob they can do no damage against, while enemy mobs will stunlock your character with ease making it impossible to move.
There are so many small issues that I have with the game that piggyback into massive issues that I’m having a really hard time looking past.
Tried playing for a few more hours to give it a last chance. Actually started to have some fun after tweaking classes and made decent progress on a number of sidequests. Then my character decided that instead of climbing a ledge they would leap off a cliff. Go to retry from checkpoint, last checkpoint was 3 HOURS AGO.
To those who like Dragon’s Dogma, bully for you, you are more forgiving than I, or luckier than I am because I have seen some absolute horseshit in this game.
