How should Granny Smith appear in Ask the Rotten Apple? -
I kind of like the idea of her being too old to change. So the others pony up around her and keep her in the dark about her grand kids being bug horses.
Not sure if being too old to change would be a thing. I’m either going to have her having passed on, have her kept in a pod and catatonic for Aphid to feed off of, or have her act as an adviser drone for Aphid.

Got to love it when a new episode affirms the potential for some headcanons without stomping out others.
well it stomped out the “changelings aren’t really evil, they just need food and chrysalis is just trying to help he people” headcanon by making this one changeling an outlier who confirms that chrysalis is evil and not just a conflicted leader.
True, though I was referring in this case to my personal headcanons, and Chrysalis has always been an opportunistic, ambitious and power-mad evil bitch within those.

I’m actually really glad that the new episode tackled racism and prejudice like it did, showing that even those considered paragons, and those who have been burdened with strife, are not above looking down on another because of their race. That it was told in the Crystal Empire makes it even more poignant.
Chrysalis kidnaps Cadence and seeks to invade Canterlot=All changelings are evil and not to be trusted.
Sombra enslaves all of the Crystal Empire, banishes it from existence for a thousand years, and brainwashes and corrupts hundreds of Crystal Ponies leaving them with PTSD=Not all unicorns.
