Thank’s bud. I should update the other blogs at some point, especially Raricow. For the moment, though, I’m a little more focused on a writing project (up to 17k words so far), keeping Papi updated, and working on what few commissions I get.
Because of a bout of bronchitis I can’t work for at least the next few days, so let the commissions be opened! Taking sketch commissions right now starting at $5 per character.
Other commissions are available at request and prices negotiable.

My throat is ragged and my voice is almost completely gone. Because of that i can’t work at my job right now, and have had to miss 2 of the last 4 days I’ve been scheduled.
Might have to open commissions to help make up the difference since I’m off until Thursday now.
I really hope that Death Battle pits the two against each other at some point. Samus squashed Boba Fett, and Chief held his own against Doom Guy, but I won’t be satisfied until they go against each other.
I defy anyone to tell me how Samus Aran could lose to Master Chief in a fight.
the most i can say is that chief would get halfway through her shields and energy tanks.
If he could even manage that. Wave beam to strip Chief’s shields, missile to the face, done.
considering the addition of armor abilities, it wouldn’t be that fast. besides, chief’s shields can take a lot of punishment and recharge. and do i need to mention when chief blew up the didacts beam using a nuke? yes, samus has a load of stuff, but chief has luck and plenty of abilities.
i don’t doubt samus would win, i just doubt it’d be as easy as you say.
The only armor ability that could really make a difference would be the bubble shield, which can be bypassed by walking through it and going in close which isn’t an issue for Samus, and the armor lock which leaves Chief vulnerable after it’s disengaged. Most other armor abilities are mobility based, and outclassed by Samus’s gear.
Chief’s shields do recharge, but it takes time for them to do so after they have been depleted, and Samus has plasma and wave beams that are both similar to the Covenant plasma weapons that completely strip shields in game. Once Chief’s shields are gone most anything can take him out, and rockets tend to do that just fine. Samus’s track with a lock, and come in several varieties.
As for nukes, we’re talking about a bounty hunter who lays down mini-nukes (power bombs) with reckless abandon and is never harmed by the concussion or any associated fallout.
From what I’ve heard Samus is incredibly overpowered compared to Chief so it’s an unfair fight to begin with :/
It’s less that Samus is overpowered, and more that Samus is well prepared, whereas Chief is a supersoldier that’s hardly super. That hasn’t stopped people from trying to argue that Chief could beat Samus in the past. Silly people.
