“Why haven’t you updated anything but Papi recently”

A) Because I don’t hold Fleur de Lis, Fleur de Lait, or Raricow to an update schedule nearly as much as I do Papi.
B) I’m taking a break from working on most of my blogs to work on stuff outside of the fandom and get back into writing.
C) Said writing is going well and I’m feeling good about working on a new project connected to nothing but my own stuff, which I’ve not done for years.  After 11 days writing it’s at 11.2k words and about 17 pages (single spaced, 11 pt font, damn it feels good)

Friendly reminder that when paperwork/applications ask for your mother’s maiden name (MMN) that it is just asking for the last name that your mother had prior to being married.

Putting down a different answer, even if it’s just your mother’s first name, or married name can lead to issues and frustration later on.

It often astounds me just how different certain practices and institutions are between the U.S. and England.  I think the differences in political campaigning practices takes the cake though.

A lot of the problems that the Xbone and especially MCC have and have had have largely been fixed by patches and updates since launch.  The 15GB day one patch of MCC fixed some things, but there’s still crashing on occasion after numerous other patches and updates.

Yes, the system and game do have a fair few problems, but they have been fixed in large part.  The biggest issue looks to be that they haven’t been fully updated which is very understandable given your data limitations.  However, the same issues were present in the Xbox 360.  The original UI for the 360 was painful and it took a couple years to get it workable, as it did with more than a few games.

It’s not an excuse, but it isn’t as bad as it’s made out to be.

It would seem that I’ve put on 50 lbs since I last weighed myself.  I’d feel like garbage if it hadn’t been 5 years since the last time I was weighed though.

I wonder if people who ask why Tony would have ever been reckless enough to create Ultron remember Iron Man 3.  He was dealing with some severe PTSD through the bulk of that film, and starts of AoU watching his friends dying and blaming him for it.  That kind of stuff makes you do some crazy things, and if those crazy things become crazy themselves when you’re not looking….yeah.
