  • Trying to work on a Raricow post, and I can’t get anything to look right.

  • nomdepony answered: Bull ring and eartag. Fashionable, of course.

I don’t think Rarity would submit herself to such piercings, thinking them gaudy or demeaning.  Perhaps a cowbell collar.

  • I agree with the de-emphasis on the arts, but psychological studies have shown that tests are actually a really great way to improve recall.
    Anonymous

Which is well and good.  Recall is important within studies and testing, and occasionally outside of school.  However, the standardized testing that the cartoon is emphasizing focus almost solely on recall and memorization, which tend to not be particularly useful outside of testing.

Standardized tests often have very little room for actual critical and abstract thinking, the kind that are more often promoted by the arts and humanities.  Critical, abstract and flexible thinking are more commonly used outside of the classroom, and allow for better memorization and recall as well as they encourage the mind to make connections beyond the norm.

    That’s a given.

    Cow adventure?

Eh…I don’t plan on having much of an ‘adventure’ vibe for the blog.  More slice of life/romance/etc.  We’ll see where things go.  I’m not sure what would constitute a 'cow adventure’ either.

The book series are seriously much better, but I hope that you enjoy the series in some small way. XD

I plan on picking up the books when I have the time.  I find there’s less disappointment when going from movie to book than vice versa.
