A tornado warning and an exploding sky….Just another typical day in Nebraska.
Note, that your time is coming soon
-Equestria not encompassing the entirety of the world (Maretonian delegates)
-Magic existing in all races in one form or another
-Tartarus housing villains of old times, and that they can escape
-Strong hintings towards Fluttercord and Dislestia
-etc.
Nobody’s talking because it’s spoilers, dear.
And that is why the spoilers tags exist
I’m surprised no one is talking about seeing the inside of Tartarus. Can we get a Villains Anonymous going on the stone spires in there?

“Boy, these conservatives are really something, aren’t they? They’re all in favor of the unborn. They will do anything for the unborn. But once you’re born, you’re on your own. Pro-life conservatives are obsessed with the fetus from conception to nine months. After that, they don’t want to know about you. They don’t want to hear from you. No nothing. No neonatal care, no day care, no head start, no school lunch, no food stamps, no welfare, no nothing. If you’re preborn, you’re fine; if you’re preschool, you’re fucked.” ~ George Carlin

Choosing tumblrpon blogs to follow and not follow is something of a challenging and sometimes risky business! And sometimes, you have to use a little social grace to pick and choose. But for the most part, I have some criteria for who I choose and do not choose, and it’s often related.
Reasons I’ll follow a blog:
- Immediate characterization. If I can’t tell the personality of your character within a couple of posts, I don’t typically follow.
- Advanced or unique art. Unfortunately I am very visually oriented. I do typically choose art blogs over writing blogs, and typically blogs that have a recognizable style. Not necessarily canon, but recognizable.
- A niche premise. Blogs like Rusty’s Nail’s, whose main focus is creating alcoholic drinks for ponies, very easily catch my attention. There’s a lot of creativity that goes into blogs like these, and I appreciate the work that goes into them. Especially because they have to stand alone amongst a tidal wave of art and writing blogs.
- Grammar. I am in no way a grammar nazi, as anyone who follows me knows. However, if I am reading a writing blog, I expect care to be put into the writing—as care would be put into a drawing.
- Older characters older characters older characters immediate follow
- Good storyline is a given.
Reasons I will not follow a blog:
- Lack of personality. See the first line in the above section.
- Grimdark. I will sometimes make exceptions, but on the whole, I avoid grimdark.
- Asshole protagonists. There are times and places for them, but on the whole I’m tired of the trope and prefer not to see it.
- Porn blogs. I enjoy porn, I watch it. I prefer not to see it on my dashboard though.
- Angst angst angst
- Autoplayers. I may still follow you if you have one but I ain’t goin’ to your userpage.
There ya go. There’s a few other reasons I will or won’t follow a blog, but these are my usual guidelines!
But these are pretty much all the guidelines I follow, too!
Another big one for me is excessive roleplay / unrelated reposts. I literally look through my entire dash on AKS and look at everyone’s posts, so I can’t have tons of random stuff clogging up my dash.
*a moment of silence for the beautiful ask blogs that I want to follow but they post random stuff that isn’t art like 80% of the time sob sob*
this is all accurate for me too! especially the thing wiggles said about excessive reblogs. ive seen plenty of blogs that i would love to follow, but i want to follow for the art/story, not your reblogs and mod posts. thats what a mod blog is for.
the only thing i disagree with is the grimdark one, because i love grimdark stuff, and theres kind of a lack of good grimdark blogs lately.
I tend to follow similar guidelines, albeit a little more leniently. Generally if it’s a drawn ask blog, I like the style and the premise is well established then I’ll give it a follow. This goes doubly for the blogs that follow Papi.
