  • Your changelings are wonderful and I want to be a part of your beautiful hive!
    Anonymous

This is for anyone who wants to join the hive.  I need a reference, and you need to be patient.  I have a backlog of references and characters to bring in, but I still want to include everyone so people are always welcome to send in their characters for conversion, they just need to know patience.

  • Anonymously tell me how you feel about me. I can’t reply, I just have to read it and post it.

wait a sec, how does a farm owner get VIPest of VIP?

    Not one griffin, huh?

The best part about seeing those ponies below the princesses is that I had Fleur as a relation of the Saddle Arabian dignitaries to explain her stature, and Fleur is Papillon, and therefore a dignitary herself.

  • Excellent, I could easily EASILY have Papillon attend the Equestria Games, and it would be canon to the show!

  • Headcanon: There used to be other changelings, but for whatever reason, weather it be infighting or being hunted or the like. What remains of them have devolved into the changelings they are today, well bellow their original splendor. It's hinted that they can achieve greater forms again some day, but it's not looking likely... yet.

    Changelings ebb and flow,
    as populations go.

Changeling Queen’s can produce several hundred eggs within a year, and several thousand before they cease production.  However, if their hives are discovered they are often destroyed as ponies have come to loathe changelingkind, and have since their outset when changelings were much, MUCH different creatures.

There is always the possibility of changelings achieving a much greater splendor than they have or have had in the past.  There have not as of yet been grand extravagant changeling cities or societies though, due to their natures and the situation of their social and physical evolutions, situations of fear, flight and famine.

  • Head Cannon once more, there's a very rare mutation which causes a changeling to be hatched with the ability to not just read and eat emotions but to broadcast them and make ponies feel the way they feel

Such things can doubtlessly be accomplished with spellwork, changelings being natural empaths anyway.  I can see this happening though, and even being relatively uncommon rather than very rare.

  • Head Cannon again, sorry, Though very rare sometimes orphaned changeling eggs and nymphs will form symbiotic relationships with ponies especially hermits and travelers, the ponies providing affection and the changeling providing protection these changelings will come to view the pony the way naturally raised changelings view the queen
    Anonymous

Very plausible.  Changeling nymphs have an instinctive knowledge of how to change their form, though many don’t do so until they’ve matured to a point comparable to a young colt.  Outcast ponies would be more likely to accept a changeling than a typical pony, and so travelers or hermits would work well with taking in an orphaned changeling.

Though obedience to a Queen tends to be ingrained in a changeling from birth, if their natural Queen is killed that connection is broken, and a surrogate connection can and generally is established with the closest being to the orphaned nymph.
