This more than anything is my issue with you, Foxy.
You get upset by something that more often than not you start, and then blame the other party. You refuse to read or acknowledge another person’s thoughts and opinions because they differ from yours, and then complain that they are making you upset.
I stopped following you months ago because this is a common occurrence with you, and I among many others can’t stand it.
You said I had two options in response to your post earlier, 1. ignore it, or 2. provide comparison without attacking. I think you could benefit from this very idea Foxy.
You could have ignored the response to begin with, or you could have responded with comparison without attacking. Instead you told me to ‘calm the fuck down’ on the post, and then came here to leave messages which, when answered, you openly say you won’t read, but still upset you. -
What I'm trying to say here is that you could have 1. Ignored the post 2. Simply stated you thought Greninja was better and provided some evidence as to why. What you actually did was reblog the post with a destructively critical, opinion statement about Delphox, using words like "horrible" and "terrible," and then claiming that that wasn't aggressive. I really don't understand how that could have been interpreted as calm when you were literally doing nothing but bashing Delphox for no reason.
I never said Delphox was terrible. I said aspects about it were terrible.
I called its movepool terrible because it is. The movepool provides very little coverage, and does very little to work with Delphox’s stats or typing.
I called its hidden ability horrible because it’s an ability that lets it take the item from a pokemon that attacks it with a physical move, which Delphox likely won’t survive.
You made a comparison saying that “Greninja is cool, but Delphox is 100x better” and Twizz supported that from her experience.
I responded with my opinion, and if it came across as aggressive then it came across as aggressive, but it was written and thought out calmly.
Twizz responded calmly and further stated her opinion and experience, saying that she thought Greninja was cool, but didn’t want to use it because her boyfriend was and she preferred the Fennekin line. That’s fine, I have no problem with that. I’ve gone through the game with Fennekin, and with Froakie and though the Fennekin line is great in its own right, I and many others found Froakie’s to be better.
What I said was that aspects of Delphox make it worse than Greninja. Never did I insult the Pokemon itself, and I was more than happy to leave things be, but you came after me.
It was your opinion on your blog, an opinion that in posting publicly you allowed to be shared by the public, and it was. Twizz reblogged it to her blog with her opinion. I reblogged it to my blog with my opinion. That’s how this stuff works. -
I didn't read any of that and I do not plan to because when I say that Delphox is a better starter I'm basing it on design, typing, behavior, w/e. Like I've literally never cared about typing and I prefer Delphox over Greninja because its appearance appeals to me more and therefore I see it as a better starter. You still need to calm the fuck down because you're turning this into a self-righteous pissing match of which starter has better stats or whatever and it's actually stressing me out a lot
Foxy, if you’d take the time to look at what was said, I say clearly that you’re welcome to prefer Delphox based upon design or what have you. Calling it better than something else without being able to support it beyond opinion, and getting mad at someone for voicing their opinion is what pisses me off.
You are welcome to your opinion, and you are welcome to share your opinion. You should also be open to other people’s opinions if you voice yours publicly for hundreds, if not thousands to see. Seeing an opposing opinion and telling the person to ‘calm the fuck down’ as you did with me, and then sending messages to them that you don’t care about what they think whether they can back it up or not is not a decent way to go about things.
You stated your opinion. I stated my opinion. You responded by calling me aggressive and to stay out of it, and now you are continuing things that could have been left to die from the get go by sending messages to me to back down. You called a calm opinion aggressive, so I gave an aggressive response.
If you really want people to take you seriously, then respect their opinions should they be different, and if they argue against yours then support your own instead of saying that their opinion is unimportant.
If you don’t want people to upset you, then don’t go about attacking their opinions without considering that your own can and likely will be criticized by someone.
This isn’t about Pokemon, Foxy, this is about conduct and conversation. If you want respect, show respect. -
i can see why the guy thought you were attacking and was aggressive, but still though. besides, all stats aside, water is best starter, plus they got Charizard as well, if anything the grass starter people should be pissed.
No doubt the grass starter advocates will find something to love in the new smash bros.
As for Foxy, as biased as I am on the subject I’d have to say that her response was decidedly more hostile and aggressive than mine, and that was not a good time to push that button. -
Calm down seriously you don't need to get iffy because somebody spoke better of a starter you don't prefer. Like really Greninja is good and all but it's far from the best starter you can get and I like Delphox better so the random aggression is completely unnecessary
I’m not sure how that was random aggression, so much as a measured response to a publicly made opinion. If you want aggressive, then I can be aggressive.
It’s fine if you like Delphox more, I have no issue with that. It has an attractive design, and an interesting typing.
If you want to call it 100x better than another pokemon, fine, but be able to support that.
Let’s look at the stats for a moment.
Delphox has base stats of:

Greninja has base stats of:
HP ATK DEF SATK SDEF SPD

Delphox has slightly higher HP, Defense, Special Attack, and Special Defense. It also has 5 weaknesses, and all to common attack types. It’s normal and hidden abilities require it to take damage, which it cannot do well, and it has a grand total of 4 attack types it can reliably utilize.
Greninja has higher Attack, and Speed which does not look like much. Its defenses are poor and it has just as many weaknesses as Delphox, although fewer are exploitable (i.e. bug and fairy). Though its regular ability, Torrent, is the standard for water starters and fairly bad, it hidden ability, Protean is among the best in the game allowing it to change types on the fly to match the type of ANY move it uses, thereby keeping its weaknesses in flux and allowing more immunities than any other Pokemon in the game.
Protean, granting it the type of what ever move it’s using also grants it the Same Type Attack Boost (STAB) of 1.5x power, effectively raising its Special Attack from 103 to 154. Couple this with a movepool that allows Special Attacks from 5 types, an equally wide physical movepool that benefits just as strongly, and a support movepool that grants it several immunities to common water counters such as Spikes allowing it Ground’s immunity to Electric attacks and you have an extremely versatile and fast pokemon.
Delphox has a great design. You’re welcome to prefer it for that or whatever other reason strikes your fancy, but if you’re going to make the claim that it’s significantly better than another pokemon, and then tell someone to ‘calm the fuck down’ when they voice a different opinion, then be ready to back it up Foxy. -
Greninja is cool but Delphox is 100x better. Greninja is really good! Delphox is just so much better
the entire fennekin evolution line just rained death upon all gyms i faced and is just generally really really great
Too bad Delphox is slower, has a terrible movepool, a horrible hidden ability, and can barely take a hit better than Greninja.

I am a normally calm person, and I try not to let people bother me.
I not only don’t mind unpopular opinions, or opinions in general, I ENCOURAGE people to share them so long as they support them and remain open to criticism and opposing opinions.
The one thing I CANNOT stand is the censoring of opinions. I hate hearing someone say that you aren’t allowed to speak because your opinion is unpopular, and I will argue against it.
If an opinion is voiced, and the person voicing it can SUPPORT why they have that opinion, no matter how much you dislike it you should still respect their ability and right to voice that opinion. If they can support their opinion, then they should be more than ready to support their opinion against an opposing one, and that is good.
If an opinion is voiced and the person can’t support it, or completely refuses to acknowledge opposition, then they had better refine their opinion fast, or at least figure out why the have it, because opposing opinions will come, and they will rip it apart. -
