Yes. Some places like the eyes, and a few other places I would draw without selecting anything and if the area was large I’d establish a border and fill the center in via select.
Both. In some places the sketchy line layer was enough to select what I needed for a base layer, but in other places I preferred to just color normally, like the eyes.
I started with a sketch like normal, and then did a basic line layer. I turned that down to about 8-15% so it could act as a guide but I could still see past it. After that it was just a matter of coloring and shading enough to make it look decent.
I honestly can’t say, as I’ve not drawn manga or chibi styles. I started drawing a little over a year ago, and I started with ponies.
From what I’ve heard though, no it’s not really that different. The biggest difference is the anatomy, and that comes with references and practice.
“Mind if I ‘butt’ in?”
(My first commission, done for ask-paradigm for a lineless squishy booty Papi, with Paradigm and Queen Fabulicious)
I’m rather proud of this, for what with it being my first attempt at a lineless picture, and my first commission.
jesus christ ive never been so proud of my eye drawings ggg
Hot damn Shady. Just….wow.
what in the hell is a breezie?
Breezies are a race that while present in previous generations of MLP were just introduced in the most recent episode: “It’s Not Easy Being Breezies.”
They look something like this:
I know why people keep sending in butt questions, and I’ve no problem with them doing so, though they may not be answered (at least for a while). As for Breezies, I WANT people to ask about them not because they’re popular, or hated, but because they are portrayed as bug ponies and therefore could bear some relation to changelings.
I want to tackle the origins of the species at some point, so I’m just waiting for questions about other MLP bug races to be submitted. Questions about Parasprites, Breezies, freaking GRASSHOPPERS, I want to see them sent in. Okay, not grasshoppers. Mostly just Parasprites, and Breezies.
The fact that I have an update planned and just waiting for Breezy questions doesn’t hurt either.
They cared about getting home to their families, but they also cared about getting rest and being pampered, something that apparently doesn’t happen very often with Seabreeze as their leader. A lack of immediate initiative is not indicative of a lack of caring or interest. It is established within the context of the episode that they have been travelling for some time, and they are small. This leads to the conclusion that extended travel, even with the aid of a breeze, is a tiring process for them as it is with most creatures, hence their enthusiasm when offered a short reprieve.
Yes, the pollen would have gone bad, as Seabreeze points out, but again the responsibilities of tomorrow are often set aside for the pleasures of the present. There are flaws, but they do not break the story.
