I should update a blog, but I’m drawing a blank on what to do for either Bev or Papi at the moment. Hmmmm, what to doodle?
Hmmm, Bev or Papi update tomorrow?

What hame might this be?
Dragon’s Dogma. A friend loves the game but I cannot come up with any redeeming features about it save for creature design and a novel idea of climbing monsters in battle.
The mobility is borderline nonexistent, the world is massive but barren with no means of fast travel without single use items, and only 2 movement speeds, slow walk and decent sprint (which depletes stamina in half the time it takes to recharge). Character progression is handled in such a ridiculous manner and loot drops are almost entirely missing outside of chests, which I have yet to see drop anything other than some gold or low end curatives. Ally AI is absolutely terrible and will run headfirst into a mob they can do no damage against, while enemy mobs will stunlock your character with ease making it impossible to move.
There are so many small issues that I have with the game that piggyback into massive issues that I’m having a really hard time looking past.
Tried playing for a few more hours to give it a last chance. Actually started to have some fun after tweaking classes and made decent progress on a number of sidequests. Then my character decided that instead of climbing a ledge they would leap off a cliff. Go to retry from checkpoint, last checkpoint was 3 HOURS AGO.
To those who like Dragon’s Dogma, bully for you, you are more forgiving than I, or luckier than I am because I have seen some absolute horseshit in this game.
Words cannot describe how mad I am right now.
But of course. I really enjoyed it too. I’ve had trouble really getting in to Fallout 3 and New Vegas, but I had no trouble enjoying Fallout 4

I always feel bad when I play a game that a friend loves and has hyped up, and find that I cannot stand it.
Have a 40 minute Middy.
I don’t draw Midnight Oil enough.
There’s no one who can kill a mood quite like family…
It’s really odd going through the backlog of games and coming across bad games that I picked up years ago that I enjoy (Divinity 2), and games that are considered good that I find unbearable (El Shaddai).
