Do you know what that most recent post you made reminded me of immediately? Zuko's speech to the fire lord in Avatar the Last Airbender, where he talks about how he was taught that the Fire Nation was the greatest nation ever, and that the war was their way of spreading that greatness, even though it was just a lie told to the youth... I think that says something.

I hadn’t considered that, but it’s somewhat fitting.  It’s as I’ve said before, there is no shame in taking pride in one’s country’s successes but there is great shame in being blind to its faults.
