Um, wow... I have very mixed feelings about that. I mean, I agree it's a violation of your privacy and personality, and it doesn't fix the issues at all, although I think it is possible to relegate socialization to strictly online. On the other hand, if you're really suffering due to a lack of companionship, and you can't find a way to get out yourself... this could be a start. Especially if you make it clear to your "partner" that the "marriage" is really friendship, and to expect nothing more.

Some more context, my parents have been joking and teasing me regularly about stuff like this for years. My mom got married when she was 21 and was pregnant with her third kid by the time she was my age. My dad had married twice, and sired 3 children by the time he turned 21, outside of his time in rehab and dropping out of high school.
I’m lonely, but I’m also demisexual so starting a relationship in general is really difficult for me in general. I don’t think that taking advice from those two when they heckle me endlessly on this point when I’m already touchy on it is a good idea, especially when the ‘marriage for 6 months’ idea is blatant exploitation.
