Head Cannon: Changeling warriors are more like ninja than the samurai, preferring to fight with stealth (as is their nature) than to fight one on one with ponies due to disadvantages.
Changeling Warriors are bred to be large, strong and armored for a reason. They are not above sneaking behind enemy lines for an assault, but they prefer strong, direct attacks over guerrilla tactics favored by the drones and workers. Think of the warriors more like shock troopers than ninja.
