Personalish headcannon: papi has walked in on nova looking at his blade collection. sometimes she shoots him dirty looks over it, but she lets him keep it because a) all the other attempts to take the blades have either failed to find them and the blades are replaced in a day and b) nova has promised not to use them unless he absolutely needs too, be it for self defense or for protecting the nymphs.

I can see this happening. Papillon is not overly fond of weaponry, but is less critical of blades than she is of firearms or other such devices. Despite not liking weapons in the hive, Papi also isn’t one to prohibit them altogether, so long as they are monitored and not to be used but for defense of the hive or oneself.
