  • You know who pretty much lives in the friendzone?  Demisexuals.

You know who doesn’t mind living in the friendzone because they still get to be close to the people they care about and they know that the ‘friendzone’ doesn’t really exist?  People who aren’t assholes, and demisexuals.

  • It always frustrates me when people say that asexuality isn’t a thing, or doesn’t need to be acknowledged because it hasn’t led to struggle or hardship.  Being asexual, culturally, is not as stigmatized as being homosexual but it’s still worth acknowledging.

Much of the struggle of homosexuality comes from without, from the people around you that you know and love telling you that you’re wrong for loving someone or being attracted to someone that you shouldn’t.

Asexuality has its own struggle, one that’s much more internalized.  It’s not others telling you that you’re wrong for loving someone, or being attracted to someone, it’s you telling yourself that you must be broken because you don’t feel that attraction, or even that love at all.
