I actually thought the start was the best thing about the film. It was stylized and unique and gave the characters it chose to focus on due attention and, well character. As soon as they get on the helicopter, or rather as soon as the villain is revealed, I felt like the movie took a swan dive into mediocrity and had to swim through waters more toxic and polluted than Rio to get to the end.
So much of the movie is painfully generic, especially since one of the biggest plot points was done by DC in Man of Steel 3 only 3 years ago and made even less sense in Suicide Squad. The movie has some good performances, and 3 really good characters IMO, but most of the cast is only there for posters and montages and so much of the story either makes no sense or circles back on itself unnecessarily just to continue on.
I almost want to know what was cut out to see if it would make the film any better, kind of like BvS. Goodness knows, Leto would love to have some of his stuff put back in (as well as all the scenes which were in the trailers but nowhere in the movie, great marketing there) though personally I’d have preferred it had they cut him out entirely. Waste of a Joker, which is not something that I should be able to say.
“Suicide Squad is great! The critics just don’t get it! All of the real fans love it!”
Rotten Tomatoes score is still at 27%. One of the biggest names in the movie has come out saying that he hates it because it left him out. The film has had the second biggest box office drop off in a week, beaten only by Batman Vs Superman…..
The movie was not good. It wasn’t god awful and it had its moments, but it was still a bad movie and that’s certainly being reflected in the reviews and box office numbers both.
DC, why must you try so hard and fail so spectacularly at being Marvel? Take your time, do your own thing, and for the love of all that’s good, don’t butcher your own characters.
I finally figured out why I can never get into Nuzlocke runs, they go against everything I find fun about Pokemon. I like to watch them done, but I cannot play them much beyond the first gym.
I get really attached to my Pokemon regardless of whether they’re thought to die or not, and I’ve got horrible luck in Pokemon games so death and disappointment abound any time I try to do a Nuzlocke. I don’t like going into a route and catching the first thing I see and then saying fuck off to everything else, I like to picture my character hearing about a Pokemon that inhabits an area and dropping everything to search for it no matter how long it takes. I like to have a party that I chose and who chose me, not a group that’s there because I skimped on pokeballs and lose interest in the main goal (catching them all) as soon as I’ve caught one thing.
I think the biggest reason I don’t like doing a Nuzlocke is that it makes me feel like Ash. Only catching one thing every now and then, never being able to catch or battle with what’s good or cool, only with what I settled on. I don’t like feeling like Ash. I really don’t. Ash is an idiot.
No motivation to draw still, going to get lost in the cosmos and then maybe work on writing a book today.
hey guys, I could really use some funds so I’m adding onto what I can do. If anyone wants me to draw in flat coloring of their black and white photos, I’d be happy to do it. $5 for basic pictures and $10 for more detailed (at my discretion) i’m also opening commissions for writing stories. So, if you have any smutty tales you want written out, I charge $1/100 words. please PM me with any details and story negotiations. also, if you’re not interested in a commission but are willing to help out, please reblog. Thanks~
My only problem with any Alolan form so far is with Alolan Raichu. The only problem I have with it is that no one knows why it adapted the way it did. Like, even the website says that the Alolans only response to finding out it’s different is “Fuck it we don’t know, maybe it likes pancakes?”
I want to know what made it adapt to gain psychic abilities!

Any retro games you really like?
I actually don’t play many retro games, or any that come to mind that are really retro. The oldest games that I enjoy playing now and then are Zelda titles like Ocarina of Time and Link to the Past, but even those I tend to play remastered.
Bored and unmotivated. Ask me anything.
Should work on stuff. 0 motivation to draw.
