In light of the Sun and Moon trailer from 8/1, the “leaks” from early in July have been gathering a lot of attention again, in part because of the Grass Trial Captain Mallow appearing in the description for the Litten evolution, and in part because the leaks talked about a lack of traditional gyms, and the bracelet being used for a mechanic similar to but different from Mega Evolution, both of which were confirmed in the trailer. More information and leaks have been dredged up from that initial leak dump, and further leaks recently, including new Alolan forms as were shown with Vulpix/Ninetails, Sandshrew/Sandslah and Exeggutor.
Added as of yet unconfirmed leaks include:
Rowlet retaining a Grass/Flying typing throughout its line, its final form is known as Fukurou
Litten gaining a Dark type and only learning Fighting moves. The final form is currently listed as Tora
Popplio’s final form being Water/Fairy and currently listed as Aniku
Rockruff having a branching evolution, including one that involves knowing Howl and leveling up or being left by certain locations at night, leading to a werewolf with typing and stats varying on which island it evolved at (not unlike has been confirmed with Oricorio, also mentioned in the leaks)
A 2 stage snowman Pokemon with Ghost/Ice typing
A normal cat Pokemon, that if bred has a secondary type and color that depends on the father
Ash-Greninja appearing in the game
Characters such as Blue, Zinnia, AZ, Lance and Cynthia appearing, along with the S.S. Anne
More styles for Furfrou, along with the ability to change its style directly in the updated Amie
More Alolan forms including Fighting Abra line, Water Growlithe line, Dark Rattata line, Bug/Psychic Butterfree, Poison/Fighting Nidoking/Queen and Fighting/Flying Doduo line
Older forms being attainable and breedable through transfer, but not through natural encounter
Starters either having a branching evolution line based off of time like Rockruff (Corocoro leaks have stated that the starter and Rockruff lines share a secret) or having the same species name but different stats and design dependent on time of evolution, not dissimilar to the gender dimorphism shown in Meowstic.
Information is to be taken with a grain of salt, but the leaks that the information came from in early July hit a LOT of the points brought up today. Not confirmed yet, but definitely looking likely. Can’t wait to see more.
A note that could lead in to the Alolan Butterfree at least, we did see Caterpie in the first route during the E3 demo.

A further note, the leaks mentioned some new Pokemon based off of a sea cucumber, a mushroom and a dolphin. In the last day we’ve seen the reveal of the sea cucumber Pyukumuku, and the mushroom Morelull. These leaks are looking SUPER legit now.

Wow, Sun and Moon leaks. Allegedly the ENTIRE LIST of new Pokemon has been posted on 4chan and can be found here with a listing of names and types. The list is absolutely unconfirmed as of this post, and should not be taken as fact until it gets some form of confirmation. New news is scheduled to drop on 8/12 which could confirm the information. Until then, have a summary of the 103 new Pokemon.

3 stage Dragon line that has a branched evolution that is either part Steel or part Fighting.

Third legendary over Solgaleo and Lunaala is Dark/Fire.
With Magearna it takes the Pokedex up to 825.

Would the Changelings still have holes in the legs? What about things like fangs, completely blue eyes, fins, carapaces, the hole in the end of the tail, blue backs, and the ear and horn shape? Would you be comfortable with all of them looking identical? I'm not sure what to do about spots. What about no spots? Or green spots?

I’ve already got an idea for what to do for changelings.

Are you sure about not giving them angular spots instead of rounded ones? It wouldn't look odd because it would make sense because they already have angles all over their skin anyway, and it would give them a distinct (and in my opinion, cool) look. And why would it be a pain to draw? It's just a few straight lines. If it's because the cowponies you've made so far have had tons of spots, maybe you could just stick to a few. And what about making their horns, hooves, and other things angular?

Angular spots is one thing, the idea that I turned down was patterning them like a soccerball, so hexagonal spots uniform over the entirety of the body. Angular spots isn’t a bad idea.

actually how would Pegasi Cowponies manipulate the weather if they're on the ground?

Pegasi who opt to choose to become cowponies indefinitely often do so because of a sense of dissociation with their pegasus heritage and a distaste for flying. Others, in the cowpony blog at least, only do it temporarily for a sense of comfort, power, and pleasure. Cowponies do have magic, so it is still possible for them to manipulate weather albeit much more limitedly than unicorns and especially pegasi.

Well, would the crystal ponies look like they're made of flesh and blood now, or still crystal? And maybe you could make spots of different color look polygonal instead of curvy.

That could work. Crystal ponies are always flesh and blood, even if they are semi translucent and prismatic. That could carry over to cowponies.
