It often amazes me how often a parent fails to be a parent. Providing for a child’s physical needs, shelter, food, etc. is the job of a caretaker, and sadly is what many seem to think encapsulates the role of ‘parent’. A true parent does more than just provide for their children, they provide support and acceptance. A true parent works to understand their child, who they are, what they go through, and what they need beyond the physical.
One can be a fantastic caretaker, and a piss poor parent without ever meaning to. One can be a fantastic caretaker and a piss poor parent without ever being directly or overtly abusive. Being just a caretaker and failing as a supportive, understanding parent can be very, very, VERY damaging and harmful for children, and can cause as much, if not more, harm as overt physical abuse in the long run.
Good news: Sketching the new Raricow update feels better than the last attempt, and though hands will be my demise, I’m feeling good about this one.
Bad news: Motivation is gone for the day either way, and this takes things to a slightly sadder place than anticipated. Planned events still to happen.
2 of the best and underappreciated aspects of ORAS
-Being able to find hidden abilities and egg moves on wild pokemon with the Dex Nav (and just walking)
-Original RSE screens used to depict the routes on the Dex Nav.
I don’t like the update that I have for Raricow. I really don’t, and it sucks all motivation out of my ass every time I work on it. Methinks I’ll scrap the current setup and alter it to a more preferable one, ideally without changing too much in the long run.

I often wonder if anyone really likes my Raricow…
Hmmm, finish Raricow update, make a quick Fleur update or just unwind with some games tonight?
I really didn’t like The Lego Movie
