    This makes me mad >:c

Because, you know, it’s not like art blogs take time and effort to create a post or anything.  It’s not like an art or ask blog interacts with its followers on a grander scale than one on one interactions, and that telling a story, or even just making simple fun posts for the character takes several more minutes, hours, or days to do than typing up a brief response.

It’s not the number of posts you have, it’s what you put into the posts.  Yes there are SOME art ask blogs that garner a following very quickly, but they do so because their art or idea is appealing or unique.  Saying that an art blog gets thousands of followers just because it’s an art blog is bullshit.  It takes time and effort, just like RPing, and arguably a LOT more.

    E3 2014 - The Legend of Zelda (Wii U)

    shame its cel shaded again.

    Hey, don’t knock cel shading.

It’s nice to see Link not wearing green. I hope he can keep this look for the full game.

Fuck anyone who doesn’t think Cell Shade is viewtiful t(º-º t)

Cel shading can be beautiful, but it depends heavily on the art style to make it work.  Zelda can and has done this before.  However, what worries me is that the last few times Zelda games have been cel shaded they have really underperformed, especially following a tech demo in a more realistically shaded style as we saw a year ago.

  • I’m actually pretty disappointed in the Nintendo conference stream.  The biggest new reveal was a new Zelda, which everyone saw coming, and there was next to nothing shown of it half way through the conference.

That they ended with Splatoon (a new IP is refreshing, but really?) and the reveal of a character in Smash Bros. that was revealed months ago doesn’t help.

I love you Nintendo, but you’ve disappointed me this year.  Sony won.

i swear sony just goes to E3 and waits for microsoft to have their speech, then throws theirs out the window and makes a new one on the spot to prove they’re better.

If that’s the case, then Sony is at epic levels of speech/presentation improvisation.

  • Microsoft’s conference almost made me want an Xbox One.  Then I started watching the Sony conference.  Bugger the Xbone right now.

(*laughs out loud and falls on the ground, dead*) some things seem neat…but most of those exclusive stuff will be in steam

I somehow doubt that as the developers were saying that they would be exclusive to the system, and my computer isn’t powerful enough to run such games on Steam even if they do port over.

  • well set some cash aside for matenince because my x-bone is a large overly complex DVD player.
    switch-up-snowfox

That’s why if I do decide to get one, it won’t be for a while.  The Halo collection coming this November is a great deal, and some of the exclusives look great.  Particularly Scalebound.

  • I’m shocked.  Microsoft’s press conference actually had some really interesting stuff, and exciting exclusives.  I actually want an Xbox One now.

That’s true, as far as the creation goes, but Pokemon is still licensed and published by Nintendo.  Besides, while Nintendo has not been turning profits in the last few years, they do have DECADES of income surplus to rely upon should the need arise.

Nintendo can afford to laugh off a bad generation, or even two, because their games and systems last, as do their profits.
