Communication and trust. I’ve never been in a relationship myself, but being able to talk about things with your significant other without the fear that they will panic and think you are cheating on them is important. You should be able to share yourself with your boy/girl/otherfriend, and they should be able to do the same with you.

this is more of a personal head cannon, but I'd personally have it in my head nova has a massive collection of various bladed weapons, and papi has sometimes walked in on him polishing them.
Decidedly possible, though Papi wouldn’t appreciate it. Papi is a pacifist and does not care much for most weapons. As such, she restricts the use and possession of weaponry within the hive.

HC: The talent does not disappear, but is absorbed into the hive, creating an incentive for Queens to convert ponies and awkward situations when a drone discovers it's unnaturally skilled at woodcarving.
While I still disagree with this as far as Papi canon goes, I can’t help but love the idea of Buzz Buzz being made into a savant in something.

Lol ok shows how much I know about changelings :P just likes the idea of buzz buzz turning the hive into honey, coz those long walls remind me of dripping honey I always thought changelings could on,y shapeshift
If changelings could only shapeshift, then masquerading as a unicorn would prove unbelievably difficult. Within the Canterlot Wedding episodes one can see Chrysalis using magic both in and out of disguise, so why should it be any different for drones or other changelings?

HC: When a pony becomes a changeling, they lose their cutie mark and thus their talent. Their sense of duty, self, and destiny is replaced by a dedication to the hive...
This is partially true as the pony does lose their cutie mark, and as such their talent is usually diminished. However, their sense of self remains largely intact, and for the most part they remain the same in mind unless the conversion process is repeated by the Queen.
