I suppose you could say that. The conversion from pony to changeling instills in the converted a deep-seated loyalty to their Queen, as well as a connection to the Queen’s hive mind. Depending on the hive and Queen, this could lead to full on mind wiping.

Oh my god the feels.
I’ve repeatedly heard the fanon idea that Scootaloo was related to Fluttershy, but this is the first time I’ve seen it in a serious, credible context. I really like this headcanon. Part of me wants to adopt it into my own, the other part is resistant for some reason I can’t identify yet. Maybe because it’s too dark?
But overall…it actually makes a lot amount of sense.
