  • There’s been a Torchwood spinoff. There was a Sarah Jane spinoff. When is there going to be a Madame Vastra, Jenny and Strax spinoff?

  • Headcannon: Okay, this is a particularly dark Headcannon. Abeille will be killed by something (Chrysalis' Hive, accident, ect.) and another changeling will give up their body to house Abeille's mind. The changeling who does this will have its mind destroyed. However, it will save her, but she will be a drone, never able to be a Queen.

…I can neither confirm nor deny this, though the effective opposite happened before she was hatched via RP.

  • Lust, while bitter, has an addictive quality that can drive some changelings to do unspeakable things to get their latest fix.
    ask-daniel-b-lantern

While it doesn’t act like a drug and cause a true addiction, there are some who are prone to pursue it more after trying it, and may get accustomed to causing it in others.
As for the unspeakable things they may do….so long as they’re fed they have some control.

  • Head Cannon: Changelings can feed on lust but it isn't good for them and only done when truly desperate
    ktuos

Lust is considered a form of impure love, so it can be eaten, but it’s more bitter and far less filling than actual love.

  • Head Cannon: Your hive belongs in the Video Game Nerd Celestia and Science Woona universe.

I’m….really not sure how to respond to this…
I don’t follow either of them.

  • When the whole hive is hungry, does the queen feel their collective starvation?
    relentlesslyhers

A proper Queen does not let her hive starve.  She will feed each and every changeling in her hive off of her own love for them.  In turn, they will feed her to keep her strong.  A proper hive is self sufficient, it has to be to sate the never ending hunger of the changelings.
In an unbalanced hive, like Chrysalis’s, yes.  The psychic link of the hive mind makes the Queen experience the thoughts and emotions of all of her subjects to a very muted extent.

  • Head Cannon: Some of the shippings in the have will "adopt" hatchlings to care for as their own. it's now a new fad.

Fickle, you know that headcanon is true.

To anyone who hasn’t already, there is a group RP group for those who have joined the hive.  If you want to join, just add me on skype.

  • And how far away can they sense it?
    Anonymous

Drones, warriors and workers can sense love within a few yards, and only when they’re actively searching for it.  A Queen, having a much more powerful psychic presence, and much greater hunger, can sense love for several kilometers if they are hungry enough.

  • What's your headcannon on how changelings sense love?
    Anonymous

Changelings are slightly psychic, and when hungry will sense an aura of love around individuals.  The love they sense doesn’t have to be directed towards them.  It can be general love radiating out of a pony like water from a sprinkler, or directed love being pointed to a single individual.
A changeling can feed off of general love, but directed is far more filling and nourishing as it’s more whole and, well, direct.  To feed off of that though, a changeling must replace the one the love is being directed towards.

  • Does Queen Papillon feel anything through the hive mind when any of her subjects have *cough* 'romantic encounters' *cough* ?
    wonderdummy

She might feel a….special tingle, but it’d be faint.
