Doesn’t surprise me. I’d saved in Pokemon Centers and even the Battle Tree a couple times with no ill effects.

Still the same shit over and over again with about as many meaningful changes as a cawadooty game nintendrones always complain about being the same thing over and over again
This is pretty much exactly what I was talking about in the last response.

I’m a huge gamer and I’ve never met anyone who said Pokémon is for kids. For 90’s kids maybe? It’s always been cool to like Pokémon. Especially with GO this summer giving all us 90’s kids memberries. And kids today being introduced to it by their parents. But I think you’re kinda overdramatizing stuff. I own both BF1 and Titanfall 2. Their problems is EA launched 2 amazing shooters 1 week apart. Then COD the week after. They cannibalized each other. And watchdogs 1 sucked ass. So won’t play 2.
You must not listen to the same people that I do when it comes to games media. I can’t even begin to count how many times I’ve heard the “Pokemon’s for babies” argument not only from friends and family, but personalities and companies like Rooster Teeth or YoVideogames. A lot of the people who argue that Pokemon’s just for kids tend to also be Genwunners in my experience, or never touched it to begin with. If you just listen to people who love Pokemon a lot then you’ll never come across people who think it’s stupid. You look around though and you’ll find people dumbfounded every time Pokemon does well, or when their own franchises end up faltering for one reason or another.
It’s always wise to at least have ground coverage if not a ground type.
I finished the story of Sun Sunday night and started a Nuzlocke of Moon yesterday. If you want a good Ground type, get a Mudsbray/Mudsdale. Much better attack, defense and longevity than Dugtrio. The only thing it doesn’t really have is speed, and when you have an ability that buffs your bulk with every hit taken, that doesn’t really matter.
“Pokemon’s for babies, no one really likes those games. They’re just the same thing over and over again! Grow up and play real videogames!”
-Watch Dogs 2 sells 80% less in its first week than Watch Dogs
-Infinite Warfare sells 50% less than Black Ops 3
-Titanfall 2 sales are so low that it’s already half price, before Black Friday
-Pokemon Sun and Moon sells 1.9 million physical copies in 3 days. In Japan alone.
Clearly Pokemon is the failure here.
Starting the Moon Nuzlocke and rolled a Litten. He is Adamant and I have called him Zuko.
Rules:
- Starter determined by last digit of ID number (1-3 is Rowlet, 4-6 is Litten, 7-9 is Popplio, 0 is choice)
- A fainted Pokemon is dead and must be released
- 1 capture allowed per area per encounter type (I.E a capture via fishing, surfing or shaking spot can be done on top of the traditional encounter.) Only the first encountered Pokemon with any method may be captured
- Routes divided into distinct or named sections, I.E. cave interior vs exterior, qualify as different areas
- Areas that do not allow capture for narrative, I.E. Trial sites, are not restricted by the first encounter rule until capture is allowed on that route.
- Gift Pokemon are allowed if they are not overleveled for the trainer (Event Munchlax is allowed, Ash Greninja is not)
- Trading is only allowed for evolution, and must end with the Pokemon having the Nuzlocke trainers’ ID
- Pokemon Refresh and PokePelago are allowed. Pokemon Refresh use is encouraged to better bond with Pokemon.
- Pokemon who join the box through Pokepelago may be used in the case of a dead Pokemon but cannot be used unless a Pokemon dies.
- Exp Share is disallowed and Exp Share must be turned off upon reception.
- Pokemon switching is to be locked to Set, trainers will switch out before you can.
- If the first Pokemon encountered calls for help, any summoned Pokemon may be captured within the same encounter, even if the initial Pokemon is defeated. A capture will end the encounter and no other capture may be made with the same encounter method in that area.
- All captured Pokemon must be named whether they are used or not.
- If the first Pokemon encountered in an area is the same species, or part of the same family as an already captured Pokemon (appears on the same Pokedex page), then it may be knocked out without negating the capture for that route.
- Shiny Pokemon encountered do not count for the capture restrictions
- In the event of a team wipe, the Nuzlocke is over and must be abandoned or restarted from scratch.
- Breeding is allowed with captured Pokemon, additional captures are not allowed for breeding purposes, trainer must work with what they have.
- Legendaries (Title legends, Tapu and UBs) may be captured without route restriction, but cannot be soft reset.
- Nuzlocke will continue until trainer has reached the Battle Tree and defeated either Red or Blue. After defeating a classic champion of choice, capture restrictions will no longer be enforced and free capture will be allowed.
- Defeated party members may only be boxed rather than released if they are capture restricted (Starter, version exclusives, fossils, etc.) These Pokemon may be placed in a grave box and traded away to another game, Pokemon received in trade for Pokemon in the grave box must be released
- New clothes do not need to be purchased, but a new outfit is highly encouraged..
- All revives given or found must be sold and cannot be used to revive fallen allies.
- Player is allowed 3 save wipes/soft resets. If data is lost from the system losing power, or from being turned off without saving more than 3 times the Nuzlocke is forfeited. A save wipe is the only way to revive a fallen Pokemon, but runs the risk of losing rare catches. A save wipe cannot be used in an attempt to capture a legendary if the attempt failed. Save often, use them wisely.
Feel free to use these rules or adjust them for your own Nuzlocke runs, and good luck.
Edit: You cannot see your trainer ID until after you have chosen your starter but the ID is set at the beginning. The trainer may save at Mahalo trail to reset if starter choice does not match the trainer ID, or the trainer may roll a D10 as available here

On vacation this week, so no work until Saturday. Finished Sun’s story, but I’ve still got a major Pokemon itch right now. Feel free to vote for what you’d most like to see today/this week. Choose three per vote
