Here’s data on the police shootings. Just look what we have!

I really want to emphasize to my American followers that, despite what you may have been told, police shootings are NOT “normal” or “just part of the job”. They are a product of your country’s unique structures of power/militarization and guided by a very particular history of institutionalized racism.  

Take a second look at those numbers and it gets worse.  Japan hasn’t had a police homicide in six years.  The US has had that many since the Ferguson riots started a few months back.  I fear to see how many since the start of the year.
