Wait if moving out isn't easy to afford then why can't they get a job? Money doesn't fall right on your lap. It seems like when I hear someone say moving out of their parents house is unaffordable I keep thinking Um have they heard of getting a job? Or are they just too lazy to work so they expect money to come to them instead of working like people who aren't freeloaders should. I swear half of tumblr are just freeloaders leeching off mommy and daddys hard earned paycheck.

Yeah, just go out and get a job and all of your financial problems will disappear.  It’s not like the job market, while better than a few years ago, is still pretty crappy and it’s difficult to just ‘get a job’ with full qualifications, let alone just starting out in most places.  Even with a job, good luck with leaving home and striking out on your own, better be sure you get a job that pays well, or be ready to work several jobs at once to make ends meet.

I work full time, and have held a job at the same store for more than 6 years.  You know how much I make?  $8.90/hr.  I make less than $9/hr. doing all the work of a manager for more than 40hrs/week, and I have to be careful not to let the time I’m clocked in and getting paid exceed 40 hours each week to avoid being written up or fired for costing the company overtime.  Working full time, after taxes and insurance I make less than $15,000 a year.  Where I live, with student loan payments, bills and utilities that’s enough for a single room apartment in a bad neighborhood, with little to nothing left for food, or other necessities.

I live with my family, not because I’m some freeloading schmuck, but because the world we live in isn’t sunshine and rainbows where altering the course of ones’ life is easy and where high paying jobs are everywhere.

Anon can bugger off.  Birb has enough problems on her plate and doesn’t need some know-nothing-sunglass-wearing-pissant who talks out of his ass, judges others lives and motivations, but doesn’t have the confidence to show his face.

Jestre, best of luck to both you and Jitters, and good health to Azula.
