theoretically you could balance out the problems with treeko's stats using super training and breeding. but on the other hand, its your starter. and people get really freaking attached to their starters fast.

They do, and Treecko’s line is usable in the main game, I’ll never say it’s not. The problem with the Treecko line is that its base stats do not lend themselves well to the movepool that it has, and vice versa. It is workable, but it will never be outstanding and stands in the shadow of the other two Hoenn starters because of it.
