Interesting. But I kinda feel as though going when he was younger made more sense. But that’s just me.

You do not know hobbits very well then. They don’t come of age until they’re 33, and are generally opposed to adventuring overall. Bilbo was 50 when he left for his journey to the Lonely Mountain too.
