Batman vs Deadpool
What I love about this is that it is 100% in line with Deadpool’s character, and 100% against Batman’s character. What does this say about the respective films, I ask you?
i hate to break it to you, but Ben Affleck is not Bruce Wayne. He’s not the CEO of a corporate Empire, he doesn’t have a british butler who worked for special forces, and he doesn’t have a multimillion dollar inheritance. He’s a normal guy like you and me who got lucky enough to succeed in Hollywood. He can’t just go around a blow 100 grand like it’s a texas penny.
I said nothing about him dropping $100,000, I said that how he handled it was against the character that he’s portraying. Since when does Batman just give up on something because it’s out of immediate reach? Even without factoring in any inheritance he still would try to make things work in his favor through struggle and turmoil. That Affleck gave up immediately is what goes against the character, not the lack of money. Likewise, it doesn’t say anything about Reynolds financial situation that he stole it, but that is exactly what I would expect from the character he’s playing, and that was the crux of the comment. When an actor does something off camera that is perfectly in line with their character that inspires confidence in that character’s portrayal, which is something I’m getting a LOT more from Reynold’s Deadpool than I am from Affleck’s Batman..
