    well, it’s actually what it really is. it’s just type:null destroying its helmet. so you can’t complain because it’s literally not supposed to be any different from type:null except for its helmet

    Don’t get me wrong, I fully understand why it is what it is, I’m saying that people are inevitably going to complain that it’s lazy or a terrible design as happens so often with newer Pokemon.

    As for it not being any different except for its helmet, that’s not entirely true.  The Pokedex does say that its temperament and personality is different from when it’s Type: Null and when it’s Silvally and it doesn’t get access to Multi-Attack or its RKS system ability until it evolves.

    Chances are that if bred Silvally will always start as a Type: Null in mechanics if not in lore, so I’d definitely consider it an actual family instead of something like a form change.
