“New Pokemon games don’t introduce enough new Pokemon!  They don’t show off the new stuff because there’s not enough there!  It’s bullshit!”

Of the 16 gyms accessible in the 2nd generation, only 9 gym leaders had Pokemon introduced in the 2nd generation.  Johto itself only featured new Pokemon among half of its gym leaders, despite there being Pokemon of each type introduced in that generation.
