People complain that Amazing Spiderman 2 has too many villains, so Batman vs. Superman adds another hero.
AS 2 villains: Green Goblin, Electro, Rhino
BvS heroes: Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Cyborg….
I think Marvel might be pushing Spidey’s rogue’s gallery a little bit, but DC is pushing a Justice League movie way, WAY too hard.Spidey can handle it, that spider sense is deadly
Spidey can definitely handle 3 villains in a movie, especially since the Sinister Six are a common thing in his comics. The question is more about handling a decent balance in a movie which is a little harder.
Again, though, I’d say that 3 villains in one movie is a much better way of going about things. If DC advocates complain against it, then one need only raise several Batman films.
Setting up a movie that’s meant to be the second in a franchise with not 2, but 4 heroes however seems like a pretty desperate move. Avengers was a great movie, but that’s in part because much of the character moments were set up by, or in, the many preceding movies leading up to it.
