7. Pokemon Gold Version. I had Blue and Yellow, but Gold was the first Pokemon game I beat, and the first game I beat. It established Feraligatr as one of my all time favorite Pokemon.
20. I think either Jurassic Park, or Animaniacs on the SNES.
23. Dead Space 3. I could write essays over how much that game disappointed me, especially because I loved Dead Space 1 and 2.
29. It’s difficult to say which is more important between gameplay and story because it largely depends on the game. Many of Nintendo’s franchises are devoutly gameplay over story and it works very well for them. Conversely, games like those of Telltale, and games like Asura’s Wrath are much more story driven, while lacking in much gameplay.
Personally I prefer it if a game has a good story that I can get invested in, but there are plenty of non-narrative games that I adore because of their gameplay, which is why as critical as I am of them I love Nintendo.
I’m going to say gameplay, if only because games can exist and thrive without a story, but a game with a great story, and bad gameplay doesn’t tend to do well.
