I am so fucking tired of these idiotic kids criticizing games and game developers when they haven’t even done any research at all or taken the effort to actually PLAY SOME FUCKING GAMES before opening their mouths. You complain that Ubisoft hasn’t made a female assassin when there’s literally one that you can play as on virtually any popular gaming platform that you’ve been ignoring this whole time. Could women be better represented in gaming in general? Sure, why not. But is Ubisoft misogynist? Well, let’s just say that they’re not the ones trying to erase the existence of a strong WoC in gaming. You want more women in games? Play the games that have women in them. Otherwise shut the fuck up because I can almost guarantee that most of the tweeters above wouldn’t play AC: Unity even if it did have a female protagonist

The complaints about removing female models for the co-op are legitimate, but Ubisoft has their reasons.  First of all, no matter what your multiplayer avatar that will appear in co-op, YOUR EXPERIENCE is through the character of Arno.

Ubisoft said that they would have to do new animations for female models, and though they probably wouldn’t have to do 8,000 like some sources said, there is the simple fact of anatomy that men and women have different proportions in their limbs and body, meaning that they do not move identically.  This is especially important when you’re working with acrobatic characters.  You can’t just rearrange the face of a male character and add some breasts and call it a female model.  It’s not a female model.  It’s a man in drag, and it would be called out as such by people who are now complaining about the lack of female character models.

Could Ubisoft incorporate them?  Yes.

Could they be added in down the road in DLC or patches?  Yes.

Is Ubisoft sexist?  After including female playable protagonists in past games’ stories, and multiplayer, and VERY GOOD FEMALE CHARACTERS in a plethora of games, no.
