Except that it is the people that are given the label “social justice warrior” that are taking these very serious issues, and turning them into a complete fucking joke by appropriating the persecution of others so that they can lower the value of suffering, and apply it to themselves in place of actually being an interesting enough person for anyone to give a shit about.  It is the people taking attention away from real persecution to try to steal a piece of that spotlight unjustly.

Far too many of the people on tumblr that claim to be standing for the rights of trans and non-binary people are the ones that are doing them the most harm by misrepresenting what it means to be oppressed.

What we see displayed above are acts of genuine oppression.

When someone refuses to call you “bunself”, that is NOT oppression. That is you being a complete fucking douchebag.

Also, many of the comments against cis hatred are still valid.  You are never going to fight hatred with hatred, especially when you’re lashing out at people that stand for the same beliefs that you do.  When you do this, you are literally discriminating against them over their gender identity.  You are doing the same wrongs to them that were committed against you, and that is the LAST way you’re ever going to encourage social equality and acceptance.  Promoting cis hatred is just shooting your own movement directly in the foot.
